Through this whole experience with the bunk bed project, I have observed something distrubing: The ripping of service from its context in spiritual formation to an optional dish in the buffet line of modern evangelical spirituality.
X: "I can see that you have a heart for service. That's your thing. Others might have a heart for worship."
ME: [dumbfounded; knowing that a sound bite response to such a statement cannot possibly reorient service into a proper perspective]

whoever said that needs to listen to Britton's sermon on worship...thats really all i can say to that without having a conversation with the person who actually said it...haha...
God knows you and the gifts he has given to you. Consider that the comments come from an ignorance of who you are. I hope it makes you feel better to know that others, like myself, have a better understanding of what you are about. Don't sweat this one bro. Mutal understanding comes with time.
