Wednesday Night Build

Joshua and I cut enough posts for three bunk beds, and routed them. That would be 12 long posts and 12 short posts. We breathed a lot of saw dust last night. Next up, we will route the design and start the drilling with the new jigs and drill press. We should knock this out in record time.

Keith and Chris worked on an other drilling jig. Keith's inginuity is amazing.

Becky and Linda did some work on the walmart grants and sent out an email to our grassroots list of compassionate people to keep on the look out for some furniture items that Crystal's family could use. Becky made a trip out to Interfaith Hospitality Network and talked with the director and got to meet with Crysal and here some of her story. A relationship has stated.

Since we are much more efficient now, it frees up more time to do some discipleship/community time. We are working shoulder to shoulder with a common purpose. We want to use our intentional, well-directed effort as a means of grace. Our Father is compassionate. We want to be compassionate like Him. How do we do that? Can compassion be cultivated? Is practice a biblical means to spiritual formation?

We had an amazing community time after we turned the saws off. I could blog about what came out of that time for a week. Maybe I will.

I know I don't comment alot on your blog. But I love to read these stories and see these pictures. It is a reminder to me of how we are supposed to live out the Gospel and how to love people the way Jesus would love them....to provide for their needs. Keep it up Uncle Mark!!!
