I got a call from Arkansas Supportive Housing Network (an agency that helps place low income people in housing). A grandmother just got custody of her 3 year old grandson and needs a single twin bed.
I also got a call from a woman who works with Angels of Mercy, they are starting a half-way house for released prisoners. They need 3 bunk beds.
What should we as Jesus followers do? Whatever we do, let's do it shrewdly and kindly.
Luke 4:18 might help.

Are we supposed to choose between them or something?
Well, the requests have been made so the ball is in our court.
It is kind of like the guy that has been beaten and is lying on the side of the road unconscious. They have come across our path. We could move to the other side of the road and go about our business, or we could do something about it.
The question is what should we as Jesus followers do? It really is not meant to be a rhetorical question. We really need to ask ourselves what are we going to do. It's part of the process of our practice.
A smart thing to do would be to get more information. Who wants to do this?
