Arkansas Supportive Housing Network has closed down after 15 years of putting homeless into housing. Bad economy and they can't get their matching money to support their grants. They have referred many families to us for beds. They were on the front lines of housing the situationally homeless.
News item the other day: Arkansas ranked 47th in care for homeless children.
Brainstorming idea: Buy a house, work with others to get it in liveable condition, learn to become the kind of people that are aware of and within the sphere of influence of the most vulnerable in our own community, find a homeless family to move into the house, journey with them in spiritual formation.
Who will do this? The church - aka: me and whoever else will help
