What's the bottom line for the bed project? The bottom line is compassion. Right now, Sheree's kids do not have beds to sleep in. We can worship, pray, read our bible, go to church, and have a high happy number and still just be fat and happy. None of those will get a bed to those kids. We need motivation, but we don't just want any motivation, we want the motivation that comes from exceptional love and mercy. How do we get that?
We don't need a leader, we need a shared motivation--compassion. How's that going for us? Who's concerned about getting those beds done and delivered? Is it the leader's concern? It is the concern of the ones with compassion. Compassion will keep us focused. Compassion will move us to learn how to do all the things needed to make it happen. Compassion will compell us to give. Compassion will drive us to do what is needed next to get the beds done, not a leader.
Compassion comes from the Father. It is a case of exceptional love and mercy, the kind that is not natural. We need to tap into those divine resources deep within the inner sanctuary of our soul. There we will find our leader and source and giver of compassion. Once we tap into that, then we will have the drive to do a dance upon injustice. The group is functioning to the extent we do that. How's that going for us?
Don't wait, don't wait, the road is now a sudden sea and suddenly we're deep enough to lay our armor down. (encouragement from Chris Cataba).
