New Year’s Resolutions

1. Find at least one more person/couple to “run” with. Our existing “pack” has set a challenging pace, so challenging that a few more would help us keep it up. This is not an easy thing.
2. Do something hard. Take a light deep into the darkness. This one will probably be dependent on #1.
3. Build 10 more bunk beds and give them to poor kids sleeping on the floor. This will provide the context for #’s 1 and 2.
4. Ride my XR 650 through some incredible places. I lean toward being too ascetic. I need to have a bit more fun, a better balance between hard work and hard play. I want the play to support and sustain the hard work (#2 and 3) rather than indulge the self. This is a delicate balance, thus #1.
5. Go the next level with contemplation. This will be essential for #2 and will need #1, and even #4.
6. Finish one book.
