Kingdom Reflections

Mark 4:26-29
“This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain–first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”

Jesus Creed is doing a series on the kingdom. Some provacative comments from today's post.

"Maybe this parable is telling us, amongst other things, that participation in the kingdom does not require absolute clarity about the details. It requires a decision to act. "

"The faithful casting of seed (preaching in all its expressions) initiates an unleashing of Kingdom of God energies that humans do not control. "

"in all its expressions" -- Does this include making and giving a bed to a poor kid?
